Week 4 Day 4 Summer Learning Journey!!

Day 4

Activity 1

My favorite part of Moana are the songs. The movie is about a girl named Moana who goes on a BIG adventure and finds Maui and he steals her boat and tries to put Moana in the water but she keeps coming up when ever he throws her. the main charterers are Moana and Maui.

Activity 2

Making the plants grow

I wouldn't want to be a farmer because it is hard work and I want to be a teacher or a chef when I grow up.

Activity 3
Haschak Sisters Pretty Girl

So listen up ladies all across the map (the map)
I think it's time we have a chit chat (chit chat)
I see ya walking the mall
Fixing up and getting ready just to walk down the hall
Then what's a girl to do?
I just want to feel like i'm accepted and i'm beautiful
Ain't nothing wrong with that
But ya better get the facts so you don't end up as "that girl"
Ain't nothing wrong with getting your hair did
You love an outfit then wear it
Got your nails on and some high heals too
(Hey)
Everybody looking at you
Feeling so fly passing by at school
But that's not why you're beautiful
Okay!
Lipstick love to get fixed up (fixed up)
But you ain't gotta do too much (oh)
I think that you should know
You don't need makeup to makeup a pretty girl
Worth more then a work of art (and you can't )
Conceal what's in your heart (so highlight)
The person that you are
You don't need makeup to makeup a pretty girl
Sometimes i fix up, sometimes i down play
Depends on how i feel that (hey)
Cause i don't need a boy to say
That he ...thinks i'm pretty just to feel okay
And every now and then i'll go and put on makeup
And suddenly the boys they wake up
Follow me around saying. "girl you fine "
Boy have you done lost your mind?
Ain't nothing wrong with getting your hair did
You love an outfit then wear it
Got your nails on and your high heals too
(hey)
Everybody looking at you

  2. Fakalofa lahi atu Yuktha,
my name is Cia. I am a Ako Hiko Summer Learning Journey blogger who will be working with various bloggers over the summer break.

    Activity 1: Moana
You are right, Māui and Moana are the main characters of the movie, thank you for making that clear in your post. I’d love to give you full points for this activity, so you will need to edit your post to tell us as much as you can about the movie. What kind of big adventure did they go on? It looks as though you’ve seen the movie before, could you share a few important parts of the movie?

My favourite parts of the movie are the songs too, they are so touching. ‘We know the way’ and ‘I am Moana’ are my absolute favourites. What are yours?

    Activity 2: Country Calendar
You’ve given two reasons why you don’t want to be a farmer when you grow up, it’s good to know you already have a couple of dream jobs you want to work towards! What do you think is the most challenging thing about being a farmer would be? You seem to know that it’s a lot of hard work.. I’d love to hear more of your thoughts about this.

    I personally wouldn’t want to be a farmer because I don’t have a passion for it. That’s why I became a teacher!

Bonus Activity: Singing a Different Tune
Thank you for being diligent about typing up and posting the lyrics of your favourite song. I don’t think I’ve ever heard this one before.. Perhaps next time you could include a video or audio clip of the song so that other bloggers and commentators can listen to it.

It was a joy to read your post, please remember to make use of pictures, slideshows or videos to make you posts stand out even more!

And just a reminder for next time, could you please ensure you post each activity on a separate blog post? It makes it easier to read your lovely work as well as keep track of your points! Also comments can a bit too long (like this one) and I’d really like to write wonderfully detailed comments for each of your posts.

I look forward to reading more of your posts this summer, keep up the great work!

Toe feiloa’i fo’i ('See you again' in Samoan),

    Cia.
